Plein Air Painting Workshop with Kim Day
Join us at Cranborne Lodge for a unique day of creativity with Kim Day, winner of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2026.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Cranborne Lodge, this special plein air workshop offers the opportunity to paint alongside one of the UK’s most exciting contemporary landscape artists.
Ahead of the workshop, Kim will spend a week in residence at Cranborne Lodge, exploring the estate’s historic gardens, architecture and surrounding landscape. During her residency she will create a collection of new paintings inspired by the setting, which she will share at the start of the day, offering an insight into her creative process, inspiration and approach to capturing a sense of place.
The workshop itself is designed to encourage freedom, curiosity and experimentation. Kim will guide participants through approaches to painting, mark-making, feeling and mystery, helping you connect with the landscape in your own unique way.
Whether you’re completely new to painting or an experienced artist looking for fresh inspiration, this promises to be an enjoyable, relaxed and rewarding day.
